Super tasty ? eaten .... with perfect service. We recommend. We have been there three times this week with different people. Everyone was just as enthusiastic about the good, fresh, very tasty food as we were. The Corona precautionary measures were precisely observed / carried out. Very clean well run restaurant.

All reviews until October 2nd, 2020 do not belong to this restaurant. Reason: change of ownership. Summary of the visit: Absolutely unsatisfactory. This restaurant was by far the worst gastronomic experience I have had in years. Summary of our visit (5 people): New owner absolutely overwhelmed, especially in terms of service. Hygiene questionable. Price-performance ratio: Outrageous. Staff absolutely inexperienced and overwhelmed (also much too young). Kitchen / service unable to deliver when the restaurant is empty. Somewhat more detailed: I visited this restaurant on recommendation. Various voices confirm that the Akdeniz restaurant has been one of the best Turkish restaurants in Dortmund for decades. To our regret, we had to find out that, according to the information provided by the staff, the restaurant has been under a new owner since October 2nd, 2020. You noticed that within 3 minutes. Within the 2 hours of our visit, the restaurant managed to serve the starter (asking for several times - we were just forgotten). Then 2 out of 5 dishes were delivered incorrectly and the portion of 3 was too small. On the picture: the € 20 kebab plate. When asked about the wrong dishes, the portions that were obviously too small, and the missing side dishes, he asked us to deliver. However, that does not help if you want to eat warm together, the side dishes have to wait so long that the main courses got cold. In addition, it took too long until then that we wanted to wait again. After I explained to him that the entire service rendered was not acceptable and that we only wanted to leave the restaurant without eating what was carelessly presented, he insisted that the entire invoice amount be paid. This would be correct if what was to be paid for had been accomplished. We settled the bill for the starters and drinks and left. The owner shouted after me that they would improve. I believe - this is my personal opinion - that the shop won't last until it's so good that it is even close to survival, let alone competitive. We went and will never go back here. That's for sure.

DANGER! Since October 2nd, 2020 someone new has been running the shop. Pure mess and the staff a catastrophe !!!!!!

The things I have ordered on the menu are nicely arranged and are always brought warm. The staff worked quickly, cleanly and nicely, the tables were immaculately cleaned and the seating was extremely comfortable. I haven't been that impressed with an inn in a long time.

My favorite restaurant! Food is prepared perfectly. Everything all around beautiful.

There were 6 of us here and everyone loved the variety of the shop! The food was delicious and sufficient, The drinks selection, however, kept simple. We had different opinions about dessert, there was more than just one variety that was boring. The music was nice Anatolian! The service was really great! We come from the hotel industry ourselves and have to say that the little waitress with the Brilee is very professional and does her job 1000 percent with flying colors! Hat off darling;)

Everything is very tasty! And it is very cheap. They have brought us wipes for when we have finished. I recommend the hummus and soup of the day

Delicious food was served very nicely. Whether lamb with vegetables chicken skewer or lamb meatballs just top. First off was delicious hot Turkish bread with salad. Unbelievably friendly service. Very nice tablecloths. Always my pleasure. Super recommendable.

Best Turkish eatery in the area, as well as nothing to complain about except that it is not so easy to get a parking directly. I have been here many times with my husband, because the restaurant is very important to him because he always holds his annual company Christmas party there. Fish is very fresh and the other specialties are excellent. The selection is great and you never have the feeling after your pay that you are unwanted. You can also sit outside, but I have not done yet. Toilets are very clean, even if it goes down a few steps. For me there is no alternative if I want to eat turkish.
